Moment at 7

City to join local churches honoring helpers during the pandemic

Mayor Paul Foster invites Redlands residents to join the City of Redlands and a host of local churches in a “Moment at 7,” honoring health care workers, first responders, grocery store employees and other helpers, beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 12, and continuing each Sunday at 7 p.m. through the end of May.

Partnering with the Redlands Area Interfaith Council and the Redlands Service Club Council, the City of Redlands encourages residents to take a moment at 7 p.m. each Sunday through the end of May to go outside and ring bells, sound gongs, play instruments, bang on pots and pans or give a cheer for those caring for the people of our community, the nation, and the world during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Local churches will be ringing their bells for one minute, the Redlands Fire Department will ring the bell outside Fire Station 261 in downtown Redlands and Police and Firefighters will flash their lights and sound their sirens in appreciation.

City of Redlands press releases and other information are available on the City’s Facebook page at or on the City’s website at
